Appraisal Services

Julia McTague provides appraisal services in the field of fine art and for selected items of personal property. With a professional designation in Fine Art/Personal Property, Ms. McTague prepares formal appraisal reports based upon research and analysis, for specific purposes, including estate valuation for tax purposes, estate planning, charitable contribution, banking, insurance scheduling and claims, equitable division, and marketable cash value.

With a background in American and European art, and as a long-term resident of Taos, New Mexico, Julia has worked extensively with Western and Southwestern art and artists. Appraisal projects have included the works of Western and New Mexican artists including the Taos Founders, Modernists, Pueblo artists, contemporary New Mexican artists, as well as other Western and regional artists.

Assignments have included private and public collections, individuals seeking insurance coverage or claims, moving companies, banks, estate representatives, trustees, attorneys, investors and museums.
